Air Methods To Provide Transfer Center Services To KentuckyOne Health

DENVER, Feb. 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Air Methods Corporation (Nasdaq:AIRM), the global leader in air medical transportation, announced today it has entered into an agreement to provide medical communication services via its DirectCall Transfer Center to KentuckyOne Health's 18 hospitals and ambulatory care centers in Kentucky.

As part of the agreement, Air Methods' DirectCall Transfer Center will assist with inter-facility patient transports between KentuckyOne Health-affiliated hospitals and ambulatory care centers and non-KentuckyOne Health medical centers by managing all incoming and outgoing calls between the health system's hospitals, physicians and other hospitals based on established medical communication service policies and procedures.
