Emeritus Senior Living Launches YouCARE Contest To Support Senior Caregivers
SEATTLE, Feb. 19, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- In its ongoing mission to help improve the lives of seniors and the people who care for them, Emeritus Senior Living is announcing YouCARE – a contest for people to share their advice, tips and stories about caring for a senior loved one.
"We understand everybody's story with caring for a loved one is different," said Jayne Sallerson, Executive Vice President. "Some people are born caregivers and love what they do; others find it more of a challenge. What we do know is that both caregivers and their loved ones benefit when we share our stories with each other. That was the inspiration for this contest."
To enter, simply send a photo of yourself and the senior you care for along with a caregiving tip – a sentence, a paragraph or an entire article – along with your name, email address, phone number and mailing address to contest@emeritus.com. Emeritus will publish all appropriate submissions on their Senior Care Blog at www.theseniorcareblog.com, which provides articles on caregiving, health and fitness, assisted living, and other senior topics. From those submissions, Emeritus will hold a drawing every six weeks throughout the year and select a winner who will receive a $250 Visa ® gift card.
