TD Ameritrade Named #1 Broker For Second Straight Year By StockBrokers.com

TD Ameritrade Holding Corporation (NYSE: AMTD) today is pleased to announce that its introducing broker-dealer subsidiary, TD Ameritrade, Inc., has been named the #1 overall broker by StockBrokers.com, a web site that seeks to help self-directed investors find the best broker to fit their needs. This is StockBroker.com’s third annual Broker Review.

The StockBrokers.com 2013 Online Broker Review assessed 17 brokers on 283 different variables within eight primary research areas: Commissions & Fees, Ease-of-Use, Platforms & Tools, Research, Customer Service, Offering of Investments, Education, and Mobile Trading.

Reviewers then ranked the brokers in 12 separate categories, addressing those areas: Overall, Commissions & Fees, Platforms & Tools, Research, Customer Service (Overall), Customer Service (Phone), Customer Service (Email), Education, Mobile Trading, Options Trading, Active Trading and New Investors. Of the 12 categories, TD Ameritrade received a #1 ranking in six, including:

• Best Desktop Platform (for thinkorswim)
• Platforms & Tools
• Customer Service, Overall
• Customer Service, Phone
• Education
• New Investors

TD Ameritrade was also named one of the top five best in four other categories: Research, Mobile Trading, Active Trading and Options Trading – placing first or within the top five in 10 of the Review’s 12 categories.
