DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- An official VIP ceremony was recently held to break ground for the City of Durham's first Del Webb community, Carolina Arbors by Del Webb. Targeted toward residents age 55 and older, Carolina Arbors sprawls across 460 acres and consists of 1,275 single-family ranch homes with a 30,000-square-foot amenity center.
The groundbreaking ceremony, which was attended by local politicians, community leaders and representatives of Del Webb, was designed to familiarize the local community with the unique features and amenities of Carolina Arbors, as well as unveil renderings of the community and amenity center. Construction is expected to begin immediately, with the first models projected for completion by summer 2013. Residents will be able to start moving in as early as this summer.
