Chester's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson Selected To Play In 2013 McDonald's All American® Game In Chicago

CHESTER, Pa., Feb. 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of Chester High School joined the ranks of high school basketball's elite today with his selection to the 2013 McDonald's All American Boys East Team. Announcement of Hollis- Jefferson's selection came during a Selection Show on ESPNU.

The 36th Annual Boys Game will tip-off on Wednesday, April 3 at 9:30 p.m. ET from Chicago's United Center and will be broadcast on ESPN. The 12th Annual Girls Game will precede the Boys Game, beginning at 7 p.m. ET and will broadcast live on ESPNU. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster or charge-by-phone at 1-866-909-GAME.

Hollis- Jefferson will join 23 other top male high school players from throughout the country. He is set to attend the University of Arizona next season. Final Team rosters are available at .

Hollis- Jefferson now joins an impressive list of players who have played in the McDonald's All American Game – A Basketball Rite of Passage tm - including: Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Alonzo Mourning, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Derrick Rose and Anthony Davis.  He is the city of Chester's second McDonald's All American, joining Tyreke Evans, who attended American Christian Academy and was the MVP of the 2008 McDonald's All American Game.

Net proceeds from the Boys and Girls Games will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities ® (RMHC ®). The Games have raised more than $10 million for RMHC since 1978. All 48 players will have a chance to visit a local Ronald McDonald House ® during Game Week in Chicago. For more information, visit

Prior to traveling to Chicago, Hollis- Jefferson will be recognized during a mini-press conference that will be held at a local elementary school.  The student-athlete will answer questions from elementary students and compete in a trick shot contest to raise funds for the elementary school and the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House.
