“We are proud to continue the U.S. Bank Scholarship Program for the 17
consecutive year,” said Erica Opstad, vice president, Office of Corporate Citizenship & Financial Education at U.S. Bank. “With the cost of college tuition increasing, and number of financial aid options decreasing, it’s important that both prospective and current college students are able to help pay for higher education through this program.”
In 2012, the 40 scholarship winners resided in 26 states. In the program’s 17-year history, U.S. Bank has awarded nearly $500,000 in college scholarships to students across the country.
