Verizon Wireless Announces Grand Opening Of New Evolution 2.0 Store In Garden City, Long Island On Saturday, February 16

GARDEN CITY, N.Y., Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --  Verizon Wireless, operator of America's largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, today announced the opening of its newest Evolution 2.0 store in Garden City, Long Island.  The anticipated grand opening of the store will take place on Saturday, February 16, from Noon-4 p.m. During the celebration of the store's opening, customers can receive $75 off select 4G LTE DROID branded devices with new two-year activation.

As an Evolution 2.0 location, the Garden City store features an open and inviting floor plan that connects the service center and sales floor, offering added device experience and support for customers. The 4,000 sq ft Garden City Evolution 2.0 store layout offers consumers an open, inviting and interactive environment for discovery of Verizon Wireless' devices, accessories and services to explore their wireless needs.

Customers will enjoy a hands-on experience with the latest 4G LTE smartphones and tablets, unique devices such as the Verizon Jetpack ^™, accessories like the Fitbit, and so much more.  The store will also offer FREE in-store Wireless Workshops to teach customers how to use their devices with personalized, hands-on training from a Verizon Wireless expert. Store Manager Avi Mann is also encouraging area residents to join the company in its efforts to help survivors of domestic violence by bringing no-longer-used wireless phones to the new store for donation to HopeLine® from Verizon, a phone recycling program. Through HopeLine, Verizon collects used cell phones to be recycled or sold and donates the proceeds in the form of cash grants and pre-paid wireless phones to advocacy groups for use by survivors.

The Garden City, LI store is located at 880 Old Country Road, Garden City, NY 11530 and has hours of Monday through Saturday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.
