Theodore A. Bush
is an electrical engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He has played a key role in his group's contribution to the Large Deck Amphibious (LDA) Program and the Navy's newest fleet of the
-class amphibious assault ships. Bush earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Alabama A&M University.
Tennyson D. Garrett
is a mechanical engineer at Newport News Shipbuilding. During his 10 years with the shipyard, Garrett has served in roles of increasing responsibility, including designing and maintaining piping systems, and ensuring that all systems meet U.S. Navy specifications. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Old Dominion University and a bachelor's degree in applied physics from Hampton University.
is a senior mechanical engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding.Gates has progressed from entry-level engineer to a senior member of complex ship design teams. He was hired as an associate engineer and has worked as lead engineer in various programs at Ingalls, including DDG 1000, large-deck ships and the DDG 51 integration team. He holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a master's degree in technology management at the University of Maryland.
George E. Holmes Jr.
is a test engineering manager at Newport News Shipbuilding with 11 years of experience in the planning, execution and testing of aircraft carrier automation systems. Holmes holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William and Mary.
Bernard R. Johnson Jr.
is a procurement analyst at Newport News Shipbuilding. During his 24 years with the shipyard, Johnson has served in roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of supply chain procurement and engineering. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial technology from Virginia State University.
is an electrical engineer at Ingalls Shipbuilding. Lang is currently working as team lead for combat systems information on the amphibious assault ship
(LHA 6). Lang has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering for the past 12 years. He holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Alabama.
is a business manager in Newport News Shipbuilding's nuclear propulsion division, where she oversees eight core engineering areas of responsibility supporting all nuclear submarine and carrier contracts, from design and engineering through testing. Martin, who holds a mechanical engineering degree from Old Dominion University, has worked for the shipyard since 1985.
Robert L. Walker III
has worked as an electrical engineer for Newport News Shipbuilding since 2009. He designs cabling and test support equipment for quality testing, and he works with other shipyard engineers and vendors to ensure that all products meet the Navy customer's needs. Walker holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Old Dominion University.
is an engineering logistics manager at Ingalls Shipbuilding and oversees the technical data development group at the Avondale facility in Louisiana. She is a valuable member of the engineering management staff, developing new processes and efficiencies for the Navy and Coast Guard programs. She is a few credits away from a bachelor's degree in communications from Loyola University.
