More than half of romantic West End theatre dates are paid for by women
Theatre visits are among the UK's most popular Valentine's dates. According to research carried out by leading theatre retailer TheatrePeople.com, 60% of West End theatre seats on Valentine's night will be booked by women.
With traditional expectations that men will pick up the Valentine's tab still embedded, the figures can't help but raise an eyebrow.
