LAS VEGAS, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Z4 Gaming, a Nevada Gaming Commission licensed interactive technology provider, appointed John English as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Public Relations. Mr. English will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and delivering external business relationships that will support Z4's infrastructure and global growth strategy as well as the Company's public relations initiatives.
Z4 Gaming was founded and licensed by the State of Nevada in late 2012 by David and Eric Colvin. David Colvin is also the Founder and Owner of Gaming Arts the nation's largest provider of super jackpot Bingo and Keno games. In addition he also is the principal owner of the Siena Hotel Spa Casino in Reno, NV. His latest effort to form Z4 was to move his gaming interests into the lucrative online interactive sector, which industry experts and analysts expect to surpass 35 billion dollars worldwide. Z4 promises to be a unique, robust and, scalable interactive platform to deliver games such as Poker, Bingo and Keno as well as eventually almost every type of casino style game as approved by legal jurisdictions around the world. Z4's approach is to have its platform reach all aspects of media including computers, mobile smartphones, tablets, television, kiosks, slot machines, and 3rd party gaming devices.
The addition of Mr. English seems a great fit for the Z4 vision as his latest and widely publicized venture was to bring mobile sports betting to the public. He was instrumental in the development and release of the Leroy's App for sports betting which was available on Apple's iPhone and iPad as well as Android and Blackberry mobile devices. Prior to joining Z4 Mr. English was part of American Wagering's successful run and sale to the world's largest bookmaker William Hill. As a long time industry executive he's well known for developing global business relationships in Europe, Mexico, South America and Macau, China. He's also recognized for his background in technological creations such as sports betting kiosks, and keno games such as Million Dollar Ticket. All very fitting for the growth of Z4 Gaming at a time where the industry is ripe to expand. Nevada has just proposed Assembly Bill 5 which if passed will allow for the expansion of interstate online poker, the Bill is one of many indicators that substantiate the demand for online gaming.
David Colvin, Chief Executive Officer, stated, "We are building a world class team of gaming industry experts at Z4 and John is the right individual to assist us in taking Z4 to the global gaming community. His strength and understanding of the marketplace as well as his knowledge of cutting edge technology will give us a great advantage in the interactive gaming space. We are very pleased to have John join our company, he understands our vision and he has the ability to assist us in bringing it forward and into the future."Aside from holding five Licenses for gaming in Nevada Mr. Colvin is also licensed for gaming or as a vendor for gaming in 26 jurisdictions across the United States. Z4 has the licensing and infrastructure as well as top industry leaders which will provide a major advantage as the Company moves forward. The company projects to have its first iteration of its platform online in the fourth quarter of 2013 once approved by the Nevada Gaming Control Board. In addition to launching the new platform, Gaming Arts and Z4 plan to release over 100 new proprietary game titles in 2013. Nevada has been very proactive and is the early adopter in licensing online gaming operators. Governor Brian Sandoval along with gaming officials have been a catalyst in stressing the importance of online gaming to enhance state revenues, but also to create an environment where US citizens don't have to gamble at risk with unregulated companies. "I am very proud to be part of the Z4 team and their great vision to create an interactive platform that is what I believe will be unlike anything available on the market. The Z4 platform along with the one hundred new proprietary games will uniquely position Z4 for the future. The scalability and robustness of its cloud based platform is truly state-of-the-art and provides the infrastructure necessary for rapid market expansion. The timing is right as states now realize the opportunities available through interactive gaming. I will be focused on developing great strategic relationships here in Nevada, nationally, and furthering our reach worldwide. I look forward to what lies ahead for Z4 and for the gaming industry these are interesting and exciting times for combining new technology and gambling. I witnessed first-hand what mobile wagering has done for the sports industry in Nevada and there is no doubt that the superior technology being developed at Z4 will bring convenience, security, and a cutting edge user environment to the consumer," stated Mr. English.
