Ninth Annual National Small Business Federal Contracting Week Starts March 19, 2013
Focus on Achievement, Education and Contacts
WASHINGTON, Feb. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Ninth Annual National Small Business Federal Contracting Week in Washington, D.C., the week of March 19, 2013, offers small businesses the opportunity to come together to gain a greater connection with federal agencies and prime contractors through educational sessions and one-on-one meetings. Small business owners receive insights into federal contracting, and the opportunity to participate as we take the advocacy for access to federal contracts for small businesses to The Hill.
This year's activities include The Small Business Summit, the WOSB National Council Spring Conference and the National Women Veterans Council Spring Conference, which are presented jointly by The American Small Business Chamber of Commerce (ASBCC)/ National Association of Small Business Contractors (NASBC) and the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce (USWCC). Additionally, the USWCC is providing awards to leading women-owned businesses in the federal sector.
"The ASBCC and the NASBC work hard to deliver the resources small businesses need to succeed and grow," says Cris Young, President of The ASBCC. "Contracting Week is a big part of this effort.""Women business owners continue to struggle to secure our fair share of federal contracts," adds Margot Dorfman, CEO of the USWCC. "As the national champion for women in business, we're confident this year's meetings will provide an excellent gateway for women seeking greater access to connections and contracts." Registration information is available at the websites: http://www.americansbcc.org (The ASBCC), http://www.nasbc.org (NASBC), http://www.uswcc.org (USWCC), or by calling 888-861-9290 or 888-418-7922. The ASBCC has boldly stepped up to restore the vibrancy, innovation, profitability and community strength of America's small businesses. We believe Main Street America is desperately in need of business leaders who care about our families and communities, and who will grow businesses in our neighborhoods restoring economic vibrancy and community vitality. The NASBC (a council of The ASBCC) is our nation's leading trade association representing the needs and rights of small business federal contractors.
