SI Group Executives Visit Songjiang And Nanjing Phenolic Resin Plants

SHANGHAI, Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- SI Group, Inc. ( Schenectady, NY), a leading chemical manufacturer and a pioneer in phenolic resin technology, announced today that its second facility in China is on track to be completed by May 2013. This new plant, located in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park, is one step in a series towards SI Group's goal of reinforcing its commitment to the Asia Pacific region.

This announcement comes on the heels of a visit by the Executive Leadership Team, including President and CEO Stephen Large, to China. During the visit, the company's existing Songjiang plant was praised for its streamlined logistics, increased manufacturing output and improved on-time delivery, as well as superior customer satisfaction. The plant has seen a surge in demand from customers seeking reliable supply, service and product quality. The Songjiang plant, which recently installed a state-of-the-art waste water treatment plant, was awarded the 2011 honorary title of Model Enterprise of Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection by the local Songjiang government.
