Rent-A-Center To Franchise Canadian Stores Through ColorTyme Subsidiary
ColorTyme, Inc., America’s first franchisor of independently owned-and-operated rent-to-own stores, will be expanding its reach internationally for the first time when it begins the franchising of 18 Rent-A-Centre locations in Canada.
The 18 stores, which will continue to carry the Rent-A-Centre name once franchised, are located in the provinces of Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario and include 4 locations in the Toronto metropolitan area.

Rent-A-Centre will be looking for either one or several master franchisees to purchase the existing locations, with plans to develop additional stores throughout the country.
