Santrol Publishes Proppant Briefs To Improve Hydraulic Fracturing Performance

SUGAR LAND, Texas, Feb. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Santrol, a Fairmount Minerals company, announced today the publication of Proppant Briefs, an information series to improve hydraulic fracturing performance. The first seven briefs were released at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference, February 4–6, The Woodlands, Texas.

The seven titles are: Fines Reduce Long-Term Oil and Gas Production; Bring a Well Online Quickly with a Curable Resin-Coated Proppant Tail-In; Choose the Right Proppant Supplier; Precured Resin-Coated Proppant Increases Net Present Value; Resin-Coated Proppant Withstands the Highest Reservoir Temperature; Proppant Porosity Considerations; and Fines Generation and Movement. The series will continue in 2013.
