SBA Opens Disaster Loan Outreach Center In Queens County
ATLANTA, Feb. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U. S. Small Business Administration announces the opening of a Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) in Far Rockaway, NY, Queens County on Monday, Feb. 4. The Center provides one-on-one assistance to homeowners, renters and business of all sizes seeking disaster assistance for losses caused by Hurricane Sandy. Also, beginning Feb. 4 the hours for all SBA Disaster Loan Outreach and Business Recovery Centers will be Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. until further notice.

Survivors may also apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA's secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or visit one of the local recovery centers for one-on-one assistance. To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, applicants should register online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov or by mobile device at m.fema.gov. If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants should call the FEMA toll-free Helpline at 800-621-3362. Those who use 711-Relay or Video Relay Services should call 800-621-3362. Additional details on the locations of other Disaster Recovery Centers and the loan application process can be obtained by calling the SBA Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an e-mail to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov. The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is now February 27, 2013. The deadline to return economic injury applications is July 31, 2013 .
