LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va., Feb. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is pleased to announce an early May opening of its first location in the Washington D.C. region. "We can't wait for Loudoun County to experience first-hand why Time Magazine calls us 'the best theater ever,'" said Anthony Coco, Franchise Partner with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. "I think Alamo's signature touches will make us a hit as we expand into the Washington region."
Alamo prides itself on bringing back the fun of going to the movies. In addition to screening first-run Hollywood and independent films, Alamo's unique blend of signature movie programming – ranging from sing-alongs to classics to lost or under-seen cinematic gems – has helped earn them a reputation as a movie lover's oasis.Currently, the new Alamo at One Loudoun is two-thirds complete, with exterior walls up, roof installed, and electricity and sound panels being added within weeks. Upon completion, the location will feature a total of 792 seats and eight auditoriums, each equipped with state-of-the-art Sony 4K projectors for an all-digital presentation.
