The Best of 50+ Housing Awards are the building industry's most prestigious national program honoring excellence in building, design, marketing and lifestyles of housing for boomers and beyond. The Best of 50+ Housing Awards are viewed by the industry as a showcase for innovation, emerging trends and quality housing for the mature demographic. The 2013 award ceremony was held at the International Builders Show in Las Vegas on January 23, 2013.
Solivita, the company's active adult community near Orlando, Florida, was the recipient of all four of the 2013 awards. In October, the company unveiled its new Welcome Center and 16 new floor plans with designs crafted around the way active adults actually "live" in their homes. Solivita features more than 150,000 sq. ft. of recreational amenities in a quaint Mediterranean-themed Village Center.
In 2012, Vitalia's CantaMia active adult community near Phoenix, Arizona, was presented with the top award for Best "For Sale Community Over 200 Homes" and the Silver Award for Best "Green Community". For more information visit
