Valencia has worked in both corporate and agency roles over the course of her career. She spent nearly five years with Univision Interactive Media in
, most recently as senior director, mobile sales development, leading strategic operations for the discipline. Before that she was director, mobile content & services for Univision – working out of
– leading a team of wireless project managers and third-party vendors to increase sales and implement mobile marketing sales plans and programs.
Prior to that Valencia spent just over three years with Verizon Wireless, as multicultural marketing/segmentation manager, charged with expanding wireless market share, increasing revenue and reducing turnover. Before this role she was an advertising consultant for Verizon Wireless, focusing on both Hispanic and general market. Valencia also has held positions dedicated to the Hispanic and African-American sector with The Vidal Partnership; The Bravo Group, Young & Rubicam's Hispanic marketing agency; and DDB Worldwide.
