Party City Launches PartyCityCares.com To Tackle Hunger In America With Taste Of The NFL
ROCKAWAY, N.J., Jan. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Party City, North America's largest party supply retailer, proudly announces a partnership with non-profit organization Taste of the NFL to support hunger relief. 1 in 6 Americans face serious hunger issues reports Feeding America, and together, Party City and Taste of the NFL want to help feed the 37 million Americans who have turned to their local food banks for assistance. To support Taste of the NFL's mission, Party City has launched a new microsite, PartyCityCares.com, where for every tweet, re-tweet or "like" Party City receives on its social media channels, Party City is donating $1 to Taste of the NFL, with all proceeds directly benefitting Feeding America food banks across the country. Party City hopes to donate up to $100,000 to Taste of the NFL and is well on their way to achieve their goal with 67,000+ social engagements to-date.
There are a number of different ways consumers can participate in the fundraiser. Customers are encouraged to tweet #tacklehunger and "like" Party City's Facebook page. By visiting PartyCityCares.com, people can tweet from the site why they want to tackle hunger. People are also encouraged to donate online at Taste of NFL. Additionally, from now through February 2, Party City customers can support Taste of the NFL with dollar donations collected at the registers of its more than 750 retail stores.
