Cash Store Sponsors Big D Climb To Support Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Texas based consumer financial services provider, announced today that it is sponsoring the 2013 Big D Climb that benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The
Cash Store is among several sponsors of the Big D Climb, the largest stair climb in
North Texas, which will be held on
Sat., Jan 26, 2013 at the Fountain Place located at 1445 Ross Ave. in downtown
Dallas.
Approximately 1,500 participants are expected for the event, surpassing last year's record turnout of more than 1,000. Participants will climb 52 flights of stairs, or 1,040 steps, in an effort to raise funds for blood cancer research, patient aid, patient services, education and advocacy. The event's goal is to raise more than $200,000.
"There are many people who have been impacted by a blood cancer in some way, and Cash Store is honored to sponsor the Big D Climb to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society advance its mission," said CEO Trevor Ahlberg.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world's largest voluntary health agency that focuses on blood cancer. The organization's mission is to cure and improve the quality of life of patients and their families with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma.
Cash Store encourages others to support the LLS mission by either making a donation or participating in the Big D Climb. Online event registration ends at noon CST on Jan. 24, and on-site registration is available until 10 a.m. Jan. 26. Registration is $60 per person.
