The restaurant features a wide selection of mostly American whiskeys, bourbon and rye, a rotating cast of beers from the bar's 25 taps, more than 20 ice-cold canned beers and three wines. The focus might be pork, but the menu also includes such favorites as fried chicken, chili con carne, shrimp po' boys and griddled burgers. "Pork Slope is the perfect place to watch the game ... with three TVs, a billiard table and an awesome crowd," Talde says "We've got the real-deal football food." On the West Coast, Stella Rossa Pizza Bar in Santa Monica, Calif., plans to offer $10 beer pitchers, chef Jeff Mahin's wood-grilled corn on the cob with parmesan cheese creme, fresno chili arancini sticks with charred tomato sauce, a seven-layer dip (with white bean and chickpea puree, Calabrian chilies, diced avocado, tomato, organic sausage, crispy onions and creme fraiche), organic pork meatballs stewed in rich tomato sauce, smoked and grilled buffalo wings, house-made Thai buffalo sauce and pulled pork pizza, in addition to its regular menu. This past fall, San Diego's Downtown Gaslamp Quarter welcomed The Commons. Drawing inspiration from America's iconic traditional watering holes, The Commons has developed a cult following of Patriots and non-Patriots fans. Leigh Gibson and kitchen manager Adam Jacoby designed a menu that serves hearty salads, award-winning chicken wings and sauces, creative sandwiches and wraps, as well as a wide selection of local craft beers and innovative cocktails.
