HENDERSON, Nev., Jan. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Epi-Foam is a unique, self-adhering medical grade silicone-backed post-operative compression foam device. It is worn immediately after both traditional and ultra-sonic liposuction procedures and provides a more even compression distribution. Improving compression distribution can assist in smoothing the skin and helping to reduce the "wavering" or "rippling" effect frequently associated with liposuction. It can also help in reducing post-operative bruising and swelling.
Epi-Foam adheres gently to the skin by using the highest quality medical grade silicone. The adhesion is just enough to keep the pad in place, thus minimizing blistering or shearing. Furthermore, silicone won't stick to the skin or cause pain and discomfort when removed, as typically experienced when using Reston™.
Unprecedented patient comfort is achieved by using only the most advanced soft, small cell, polyurethane materials to create the compression barrier between the patient's skin and the post-operative garment.
