HOUSTON, Jan. 17, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cardtronics, Inc. (Nasdaq:CATM), the world's largest retail ATM owner, today announced an evolution of the company's information technology executive leadership team, featuring the introduction of a newly created Chief Information Security Officer position.
Transitioning from his current role as Chief Information Officer, Jerry Garcia, who spent the last 10 years designing and developing the information technology systems Cardtronics uses to run its business, will now focus exclusively on Cardtronics' information security program as chief information security officer (CISO). Mike McCarthy, a seasoned chief information officer (CIO) within the financial services industry, has joined Cardtronics as its new CIO. Both Garcia and McCarthy will report directly to Cardtronics Chief Executive Officer Steve Rathgaber.
