Cover-All (NYSE MKT:COVR), is pleased to congratulate Narragansett Bay Insurance Company (NBIC) for winning the distinguished Best Review’s Innovators Showcase. The showcase was featured in the January issue of Best Review.
"We are very excited to see Narragansett Bay Insurance Company showcased for this award," said John Roblin, CEO at Cover-All. “They have shown the industry that any insurance carrier, regardless of size, can service agents and customers superbly with modern technology. It is good to see them highlighted for their visionary efforts."
In reviewing NBIC’s submission, Stephen Applebaum, senior analyst for Aite Group’s Property Casualty Insurance Practice, said, “An application that addresses a specific risk and delivers the service with very little inconvenience to the policyholder, and adds value to the policyholder, producer and carrier is a win-win-win. It is the application itself, designed to meet a specific industry risk that is innovative. The use of a tablet is an example of finding the most efficient way to use technology to deliver a service.”
Headquartered in Rhode Island, NBIC offers specialty insurance products and services to homeowners through a select network of independent agents along the Eastern seaboard. Their award win, and subsequent showcase feature, were based largely on Project APEX, a technology modernization effort which targeted the company’s in‐house legacy systems for replacement. Project APEX ultimately established a highly‐advanced, flexible and nimble technology environment which enables exceptional client services, platform scalability, business alignment and product agility needed to transform the homeowners’ insurance marketplace. All systems selected as a part of Project APEX were chosen for their flexible, modern architecture, including Cover-All’s BlueWave Claims, which was chosen specifically to help NBIC consolidate IT processes and create a more fluid, configurable claim workflow.
NBIC was one of 10 carriers in the showcase featured in the January issue of Best Review. Each project was chosen for the forward-thinking component of the initiative that is providing insurance organizations with measurable successes.
