Banking on the most illustrious of its guests, the Anzère ski resort in
has managed to attract web users via a video, which has already received more than 200,000 views in a fortnight.
A luxury ambassador
Following intense negotiations, which began in the summer, Father Christmas finally agreed to reveal his favourite holiday location to the whole world and to do his part in promoting his favourite ski resort. Thanks to the support of the local star, Anzère, in
, managed to catch the eye of its target public, namely families, with its all-new spa and stunning offers for the season ahead. The objective was to show that the Valais resort lives up to its slogan, "Just Relax", as the ideal location to relax between January and April - a fact echoed by the man who is most in need of rest following the Christmas period.
A video that is creating a stir
posted online on 24
December followed the elves in search of Father Christmas just a few hours before his round-the-world journey delivering presents. Father Christmas was indeed enjoying a last minute break at the Anzère spa, and took time out between a massage and Jacuzzi, to express Christmas and New Year wishes to all of his friends at the resort. This video has experienced unprecedented success with over 200,000 views on YouTube since its launch.
Success to be maintained
A second film
, which brings the story to conclusion, was released on 7
January. In this video, Father Christmas is enjoying a family visit to Anzère for sport and relaxation and invites web users to come and ski for free on Saturday 12
January - provided they do so dressed in his well-known attire. Father Christmas outfits will be available for just
at the foot of the Anzère ski lifts.
Stéphanie Borgeaud from Anzère Tourisme cannot hide her satisfaction: "Resolutely focused on the future, the Anzère resort is delighted with the success of this unique promotional, broadcast via the social networks. She also wants to thank Father Christmas, its newfound ambassador, for his valuable assistance and offers sincere thanks to those who came dressed as Father Christmas on 12
January for a memorable day."
