For moms unable to attend the events in
New York City and the Beltway, local city chapters of One Million Moms for Gun Control are planning local rallies and marches on
Sat., Jan. 26. For example, the greater
Boston-area One Million Moms for Gun Control chapter is organizing a march at the State House.
In addition, One Million Moms for Gun Control will launch a national social media campaign called "How do you wear your heart?" on
Sat., Jan. 19, to enable moms across the country creatively connect and express their views on gun control. Members will be provided with templates for a signature heart, which they can pin over their heart and wear publicly in support of One Million Moms for Gun Control. Moms will be asked to take pictures of themselves wearing their pin and email them to
firstname.lastname@example.org, or Tweet and Instagram the photos using the hashtags #1MM4GC #howdoyouwearyourheart #momsdemandaction.
