The Mexus Trinidad JV poured its first production on January 3, 2013 consisting of 4,392 grams of gold at 97% fineness and 126,184 grams of silver at 99.5% purity and was shipped by armored car on the 8 th. "This is just a start" as Production Manager and JV Partner, Kenneth Azuka puts it. He goes on to say "Now that we have adequate pregnant solution flow at a rate of 1650 gallons per minute from our #3 and #6 Pads returning to our Merrill Crowe recovery plant and four filter presses in operation, the seasoned crew working as a well-oiled team we should produce gold/silver product every 10 to 15 days." Mine Engineer, Segisfredo Velazquez Fragozo states that "The JV's plan was to be in production by January 1, 2013." He goes on to state that this date was met. Our next goal is to re-crush Pads 1 and 2, which according to Segisfredo, contains approximately 2,000,000 tons of ore needing to be re-crushed to a 3/8 minus as our testing shows a recoverable grade of 1 gram per ton gold and 40 grams of silver. This will be done using our new crushing and conveying equipment sized for 6,000 tons a day including placement of the ore using a radial stacker by February 1, 2013.
