Roegner has been President of Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions since 2009 and has led Alcoa Defense since June 2012. In his new role, Roegner will have responsibility for Alcoa’s Power and Propulsion, Forgings and Extrusions, Oil and Gas, and Defense businesses. He will also serve on Alcoa’s Executive Council, the senior leadership team that sets strategic direction for the company. Roegner will continue to report to Olivier Jarrault, Executive Vice President and Group President, Engineered Products and Solutions (EPS).
Succeeding Roegner as President, Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions is Jacques Vanier, who had been COO, Forgings and Extrusions, since January 2012. Both Vanier and Mike Pepper, President of Alcoa Power and Propulsion, will report to Roegner.
“Eric has a demonstrated track record of success,” Jarrault said. “This organizational change will help us leverage Alcoa’s leading global position in aerospace propulsion, structures, and energy to align and extend our market breadth and reach further downstream into end-market applications.”“Eric Roegner’s strategic insights, combined with his passion for customers and dedication to getting things done, have made him a key leader in Alcoa’s EPS business unit,” said Klaus Kleinfeld, Alcoa Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Roegner joined Alcoa in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer of Global Extruded Products. In 2007 he became the President of Global Hard Alloy Extrusions. Earlier in his career Roegner was a partner with McKinsey & Company and a Field Engineer with Schlumberger Ltd. Roegner holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He currently serves on the Board of Governors of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors of the Ohio Manufacturers Association (OMA) and on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce (OCC). Eric and his wife, State Representative Kristina Daley Roegner, and their three children reside in Hudson, Ohio.
