Virginia Mentoring Partnership Announces Dominion Resources To Receive The S. Buford Scott Leadership Award

RICHMOND, Va., Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Virginia Mentoring Partnership (VMP) is pleased to announce that Dominion Resources is the recipient of the S. Buford Scott Leadership Award for 2013. The award will be presented March 14 at the organization's 20 ^th anniversary event at the Science Museum of Virginia.

The award recognizes outstanding efforts by businesses, organizations or individuals who exemplify outstanding commitment to Virginia's youth, especially as mentors in schools and community-based organizations. It is named for a man synonymous with youth development, care and concern throughout Virginia, S. Buford Scott, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Scott and Stringfellow.  Mr. Scott founded VMP and is engaged in many initiatives to support youth development throughout the community.
