NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Rayonier (NYSE:RYN) hit a new 52-week high Friday as it is currently trading at $53.17, above its previous 52-week high of $53.12 with 84,833 shares traded as of 11 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 770,300 shares over the past 30 days.

Rayonier has a market cap of $6.48 billion and is part of the industrial goods sector and materials & construction industry. Shares are up 1.5% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday.

Rayonier, Inc. engages in the sale and development of real estate and timberland management, as well as in the production and sale of cellulose fibers in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia. The company has a P/E ratio of 25.9, above the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
