The stock ranged in price between $20.43-$20.71 after having opened the day at $20.45 as compared to the previous trading day's close of $20.69. Other companies within the Industrial industry that declined today were: Active Power (ACPW), down 6.9%, Cleantech Solutions International (CLNT), down 5.4%, Compx International (CIX), down 4.9%, and Euro Tech Holdings Company (CLWT), down 4.8%.

General Electric Company operates as a technology and financial services company worldwide. General Electric has a market cap of $217.8 billion and is part of the industrial goods sector. The company has a P/E ratio of 15.5, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 16% year to date as of the close of trading on Thursday. Currently there are seven analysts that rate General Electric a buy, no analysts rate it a sell, and four rate it a hold.
