HONG KONG, Dec. 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Shanda Games Limited (NASDAQ: GAME, " Shanda Games"), a leading online game developer, operator and publisher in China, announced today that the iOS version of Diffusion Million Arthur, a mobile game published by Shanda Games' subsidiary Actoz Soft (KOSDAQ: 052790.KQ), is currently the top grossing app among all categories in Apple's local App Store following the official launch in Korea on December 20, 2012.
Diffusion Million Arthur is an online mobile card game developed by Square Enix, a leading game developer in Japan. Based on the folklore surrounding King Arthur, gamers are on a quest to recruit knights and collect resources as they fight against other players and in-game characters. "The successful launch of Diffusion Million Arthur in Korea shows the strength of the strategic alliance between Square Enix and Shanda Games," said Mr. Xiangdong Zhang, Chief Executive Officer of Shanda Games. "We look forward to publishing the game in China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia following its successful launch in Korea. In addition, we will publish mobile version of Final Fantasy I, II and III in China, Taiwan, Korea, and Southeast Asia soon. With a strong portfolio of games in the pipeline, we will continue to explore opportunities in the mobile games market through multiple channels including in-house development, licensing, investment and partnership, and expect to publish those titles globally in the near future."
