Compuware Welcomes McQueen Family To New Home

DETROIT, Dec. 20, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Compuware Corporation (Nasdaq:CPWR), the technology performance company, today presented the McQueen family with their new residence bringing Project: Welcome Home to a successful conclusion. The new home was revealed to the family this afternoon in front of program sponsors, partners and volunteers and was followed by a community event at J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy.

The project emerged from Compuware's iWish4Detroit campaign -- part of its sponsorship of America's Thanksgiving Parade, created and produced by The Parade Company -- honoring the wish for "a place to call home," the most frequent among last year's submissions. The project launched August 20 with a call for nominations and was enabled by an accelerated selection and partner family on-boarding process by Habitat for Humanity Detroit. Today, the whirlwind effort came to a close in a joyous community event at nearby J.E. Clark Preparatory Academy.

The combined contributions of many parties brought this project to fruition. The four-bedroom, one-bath ranch is a Habitat for Humanity Detroit home that was sponsored by Compuware and furnished with living room and bedroom furniture, as well as new mattresses, courtesy of Art Van Furniture. Compuware also contributed two years of mortgage payments that the McQueen family chose to use to reduce the overall term of the loan. Compuware employees, in addition to participating in the build itself, contributed additional appliances, housewares and holiday gifts to fill the home.
