Avis Triumphs Once Again At 2012 World Travel Awards

PARSIPPANY, N.J., Dec. 17, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The results are in and Avis Car Rental has been named the "World's Leading Business Car Rental Company" at the final ceremony of the 2012 World Travel Awards. The distinguished honor marks the seventh consecutive year that Avis has been selected by travel and tourism professionals in 162 countries for excellence in customer service, business performance, product expansion, innovation and creativity.

World Travel Awards serves to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. Regional ceremonies were held throughout the year and winners from each of these competed in the grand finale to determine the winner of each of the "World's Leading" categories.

In addition to the worldwide award presented at the World Travel Awards ceremony in New Delhi, India, travel professionals this year also declared Avis the winner in numerous regions and categories:
