Blyth, Inc.'s PartyLite Division Promotes Michael Norris

GREENWICH, Conn., Dec. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Blyth, Inc. (NYSE: BTH), a direct to consumer company and leading designer and marketer of candles, accessories for the home, and health and wellness products sold through the direct selling and direct marketing channels, announced that its PartyLite division, the world's largest direct-seller of candles, candle accessories and premium home fragrance products, has named Michael Norris to fill the newly-created position of President, PartyLite Americas.  In his expanded role, Mr. Norris, who currently oversees both the U.S. and Canada, assumes responsibility for Mexico, a developing market for PartyLite's products and earnings opportunity.

Mr. Norris has 20 years of experience in the direct selling industry and joined PartyLite in February 2010 as Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  He was promoted to President, PartyLite U.S. ten months later and, earlier this year, assumed leadership of the Canadian business.  Prior to joining PartyLite, Mr. Norris was chief sales and marketing officer for Gold Canyon in Arizona. 

Blyth, Inc., headquartered in Greenwich, CT, USA, is a direct to consumer business focused on both the direct selling and direct marketing channels.  It designs and markets home fragrance products and decorative accessories, as well as weight management products, nutritional supplements and energy drink mixes.  These products are sold through Direct Selling under both the home party plan and network marketing methods.
