The Bud Light Hotel Opens Its Doors In The Big Easy
ST. LOUIS, Dec. 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Bud Light – the official beer sponsor of the NFL – announced today the Bud Light Hotel will be opening its doors in New Orleans for Super Bowl XLVII.
From Thursday, January 31, through Sunday, February 3, Bud Light will transform a 200-room downtown New Orleans hotel into the ultimate fan experience and home of the hottest parties and events during Super Bowl week. More than 3,000 man hours will be spent hanging pipe and drape, installing lighting, replacing furniture and converting an adjacent parking lot into a 34,000 square feet concert tent. Even the smallest hotel details and amenities – 550 hand towels, 250 pillows and 1,500 shampoos – will be Bud Light-branded.
The excitement will all kick off on Thursday, January 31, with the return of the EA SPORTS™ Madden Bowl to this year's Bud Light Hotel. The EA SPORTS Madden Bowl gives NFL players and celebrities a chance to go head-to-head on EA's latest edition of Madden NFL. Past winners of the EA SPORTS Madden Bowl trophy include Drew Brees, Tim Tebow and Maurice Jones-Drew.

For the second consecutive year, Bud Light is conducting an open casting call that will give one Facebook fan the opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to become the official Bud Light Hotel Facebook Correspondent. Applicants can submit their videos on the Bud Light Facebook page and let fans "like" their favorite videos through a special tab. The successful candidate will receive a salary to appear in a series of exclusive videos from the Bud Light Hotel that will air on the brand's Facebook and YouTube pages.
