National Medical Billing Services' Tamara Wagner To Present At The Ambulatory Surgery Center Association's Winter Coding Seminar

ST. LOUIS, Dec. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tamara Wagner, Vice President of Coding at National Medical Billing Services, will be a featured presenter at the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association's Winter Coding Seminar.

Wagner will present three sessions on Tuesday, December 11:  Understanding Pain Management from an Audit Perspective ( 1:00 p.m.); Knee Scope Tips and Traps: Maximizing Reimbursement ( 2:05 p.m.); and Colonoscopy Reporting: Medical Necessity, Surveillance vs. Screening – Avoiding Denials ( 3:20 p.m.). In addition, a Question and Answer session will follow the conclusion of the sessions.

During these sessions Wagner will discuss specialty-specific coding issues and best practices that can significantly impact ambulatory surgery centers' bottom lines. Attendees can earn continuing education credits during these seminars.

"Correct and compliant coding is mission critical for the financial health of ASCs," says Wagner.  "Understanding best practice coding procedures is especially important during a time when our industry is undergoing so many changes due to the Affordable Care Act."

During the Winter Coding Seminar, surgery center leaders and coding specialists from around the U.S. will learn about government updates and regulations specific to coding as well as other coding issues and best practice procedures.

"Having a complete understanding of coding and how it can affect your ASC is more important now than ever," says Wagner. "To thrive in today's healthcare environment, ASCs have to optimize their revenue, and that begins with proper coding."

The Winter Coding Seminar is December 10 – 11 at the Wynn Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas.
