WEX To Serve As Presenting Sponsor Of Maine Cancer Foundation’s Tri For A Cure For 2013, 2014 And 2015

WEX Inc. (NYSE: WXS), a leading international provider of physical, digital and virtual corporate card payment solutions, today announced that it will serve as the Presenting Sponsor of the Tri for a Cure event for Maine Cancer Foundation (MCF), a statewide source of cancer grant funding, from 2013 to 2015. At the invitation of MCF executive director, Tara Hill, WEX chairman, president and CEO, Michael E. Dubyak, delivered opening remarks to a group of more than 250 business leaders at the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce breakfast on December 5 announcing the three year gift.

“Maine Cancer Foundation is deeply committed to cancer research, education and patient support ― and WEX is deeply committed to its mission to find a cure and to support the people of Maine who find themselves affected by this disease,” said Dubyak. “It was our honor and our privilege to serve as the MCF Tri for a Cure Presenting Sponsor in 2012, a record-breaking event that raised $1,200,000. We made the decision to sponsor the Tri for a Cure for the next three years for many reasons including the fact that 100% of funds raised by Maine Cancer Foundation stay in Maine and are reinvested back in our community.”
