Free Brain Health Seminar Dec. 11 At Emeritus At Kingwood

HOUSTON, Nov. 29, 2102 /PRNewswire/ -- According to recent studies, more than 35 million people worldwide will have dementia within the year. Currently there are more than 15 million family caregivers attending to a loved one with Alzheimer's or dementia – a number that will grow significantly as the Baby Boomers retire.

On Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 6:30 p.m., Emeritus at Kingwood, Lake Houston's newest senior living community, is hosting a free Brain Health event for seniors and individuals caring for aging parents featuring nationally recognized clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Paul Nussbaum. Dr. Nussbaum will cover topics on the anatomy of the brain; understanding dementia, its progression and treatment approaches; brain health; and lifestyle factors that build brain reserve. Guests will have the chance to take a brain health assessment.

Dr. Nussbaum is Emeritus Senior Living's national director of brain health, and author of the books Save Your Brain and Brain Health Lifestyle.
