Global Payments is a worldwide leader for integrated payment solutions and is continuing to expand into the fast growing Mobile Payment Service Provider channel with this relationship.
Intuit Pay, which launched as a pilot today, enables small businesses to quickly and easily establish a means to accept payments from MasterCard ® and Visa ® debit and credit cards at any time or location through a smartphone or tablet.
The entire on-boarding experience for small businesses has been made effortless, through instant online approval and real time merchant account set up – one of the first of its kind in the UK payments market. The business can start accepting payments immediately via the Intuit Pay website. The business can also download the free app to accept fully Chip and PIN compliant transactions as per security standards prescribed by EMVCO® through a Bluetooth ® enabled mobile card acceptance device that is shipped separately. "We are seeing explosive growth in smartphone penetration globally, and that is creating a new channel focused on mobile payments," says Sid Singh, senior vice president and global head of product for Global Payments. "By building out a product platform for Intuit that is focused on small businesses, we can now offer significant value in the creation of a mobile payments eco-system." The mobile service will be of particular value to micro merchants who are on the go, such as stall holders and home repair services, for example. In many cases, this will be the first time businesses such as these have the ability to accept card payments, creating potential to significantly increase their sales.Select the service that is right for you!
