NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO) hit a new 52-week high Friday as it is currently trading at $18.52, above its previous 52-week high of $18.50 with 3.4 million shares traded as of 10:56 a.m. ET. Average volume has been 22.2 million shares over the past 30 days.

Yahoo has a market cap of $21.76 billion and is part of the technology sector and internet industry. Shares are up 14.1% year to date as of the close of trading on Wednesday.

Yahoo! Inc., together with its subsidiaries, operates as a digital media company that delivers personalized digital content and experiences worldwide. The company has a P/E ratio of 5.6, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7.
