Blockbuster Rolls Out The Blue Carpet For Dreamworks Animation’s Rise Of The Guardians Merchandise

Blockbuster L.L.C., a subsidiary of DISH Network Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH), and DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc. (Nasdaq: DWA) have an alliance to promote the upcoming 3D movie Rise of the Guardians through an exclusive sweepstakes and special merchandising program. Blockbuster is hosting a “legendary” Scratch & Win Sweepstakes from now through December 31 ^st. The entertainment destination is also retailing exclusive Rise of the Guardians memorabilia, along with DreamWorks Animation movie titles such as franchise favorites Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. Rise of the Guardians comes to U.S. theaters in 3D today.

Rise of the Guardians tells the story of a group of heroes – Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, the Sandman, and Jack Frost – each with extraordinary abilities. When an evil spirit known as Pitch lays down the gauntlet to take over the world, the immortal Guardians must join forces for the first time to protect the hopes, beliefs and imagination of children all over the world.
