NEW YORK (
TheStreet) -- What will be the hottest gift this holiday season? Jim Cramer told Lindsey Bell at
TheStreet.com Monday that he thinks it will be the 60" LED TV.
Cramer said companies including
(COST - Get Report),
(WMT - Get Report) and
(BBY) all seem to have made the 60" TV their big loss leader this season in order to lure customers to their stores. That may be the gift that everyone wants.
Cramer was also bullish on
(AAPL - Get Report), a stock he owns for his charitable trust,
Action Alerts PLUS
, as that company has refreshed its entire line of products for the holidays.
Cramer said he's frankly quite surprised to see so many people out shopping, which is evidence most consumers don't know how much the fiscal cliff will be costing them as of Jan. 1.
In an ideal world, he said, the fiscal cliff would be solved with a few shopping days left before Christmas and everyone would be very merry indeed.
When asked about online sales at
(AMZN - Get Report)
, Cramer said that this high-multiple stock continues to do well, but he would invest using deep-in-the-money call options to minimize downside risk.
