Medivo Appoints Dr. David B. Nash To Its Medical Advisory Board
Medivo Inc., a health monitoring company for physicians and their patients, today announced that it has appointed David B. Nash, M.D., MBA, to its Medical Advisory Board, which was established in 2010 to provide strategic advice and counsel in the areas of health information technology (HIT), patient care and product development.
“We are very excited to welcome Dr. Nash to our Medical Advisory Board,” said Dr. Jason Bhan, EVP and Co-Founder of Medivo. “Bringing more than 25 years of academia, research and healthcare expertise, we anticipate that he will be a vital member of our passionate group of healthcare leaders. This group is central to helping Medivo propel our mission forward—to provide easier access to quality healthcare.”
Dr. Nash is the Founding Dean of the Jefferson School of Population Health (JSPH) in Philadelphia and is nationally recognized for his research leadership in health outcomes management and quality-of-care improvement initiatives. Most recently, Dr. Nash received the Joseph Wharton Award for Social Impact, presented by the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. Dr. Mehmet Oz, a Wharton graduate and a 2011 award winner for Social Impact, presented the award to Dr. Nash. Also receiving the Joseph Wharton Awards in 2012 were Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of Estee Lauder, and Brian Roberts, chairman and CEO of Comcast.
Dr. Nash is the Dr. Raymond C. and Doris N. Grandon Professor of Health Policy. Repeatedly named to Modern Healthcare’s list of Most Powerful Persons in Healthcare, his national activities cover a wide scope. He served as Chair of a National Quality Forum Technical Advisory Panel and is a member of the Board of Directors of The Care Continuum Alliance (formerly DMAA). Dr. Nash is a principal faculty member for quality of care programming for the American College of Physician Executives in Tampa, Florida, and is the developer of the ACPE Capstone Course on Quality.
