Gleacher & Company Adds Two Managing Directors In MBS & Rates Division

Gleacher & Company Securities, Inc., a broker-dealer subsidiary of Gleacher & Company, Inc. (Nasdaq: GLCH), announced today that Brendan Keane and Robert Miller have joined the firm as Managing Directors in the MBS & Rates Division, where they focus on Structured Products. Mr. Keane and Mr. Miller will both be located in Gleacher & Company’s New York office.

Gleacher & Company’s MBS & Rates Division provides structured finance, research, sales, and trading services on a wide range of mortgage and asset-backed securities, U.S. Treasury and government agency securities, structured products such as CLOs and CDOs, whole loans, and other securities. The Group has developed strong relationships with institutional investors, including mutual funds, pension funds, insurance companies, hedge funds, investment managers and investment advisors, by providing value-added investment ideas and access to execution services and inventory capital.

About Mr. Keane

Mr. Keane joins Gleacher & Company from CoreLogic, where he was a Senior Vice President and National Accounts Director. At CoreLogic, Mr. Keane was a member of the Advisory Data Valuation Group, which provides capital markets and mortgage-related services and solutions to investors, originators and servicers. Prior to joining CoreLogic, Mr. Keane was a Managing Director and co-Manager of the U.S. Asset Finance Group at Credit Suisse Securities. He was also a senior member of the Credit Suisse specialty finance investment banking practice and led the company’s real estate-related asset finance efforts. Prior to Credit Suisse, he was a member of Prudential Securities’ Fixed Income and Investment Banking departments, where he supervised its Real Estate Asset-Backed Securitization Group. Mr. Keane was previously a Senior Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities Ratings Analyst at Moody’s Investors Service and a Corporate Associate at the law firm Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy. Mr. Keane earned his JD from the Albany Law School of Union University and a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany.
