Tesla Motors, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures, and sells electric vehicles and electric vehicle powertrain components. The company offers Tesla Roadster, an electric sports car. Tesla Motors has a market cap of $3.45 billion and is part of the consumer goods sector. The company has a P/E ratio of -8.2, below the S&P 500 P/E ratio of 17.7. Shares are up 8.8% year to date as of the close of trading on Monday. Currently there are seven analysts that rate Tesla Motors a buy, one analyst rates it a sell, and three rate it a hold.
