Renowned Jewelry Designer Joseph Aviv To Launch New Type Of Gold In An Event For The Benefit Of People In Need

MIAMI, Nov. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In a big event hosted by two of the most reputable fine jewelry designers in Florida this coming Thursday, Nov. 15, a brand new type of gold will be presented the first time.

Designer Joseph Aviv and colleague jeweler Andrew Koppel are joining forces in hosting the event at Maurice's Jewelers, Koppel's impressive boutique store at 11865 S. Dixie Hwy., Miami, in which they will showcase their new collections and launch Joseph Aviv's one-of-a-kind Brown Gold™, considered to be the most innovative on the market today.

Unlike common coloration methods, the Brown gold presented in the event does not get its color by any surface treatment, but goes through a sensitive process of special electronic bombardment called PVD (Physical Vaporization and Deposition), which makes the metal change its color to Brown.

The event will be open to the public from 10:00 AM. However, between 7:00 to 11:00 PM, 300 guests of the Greater Miami top financial, political and social elite will enjoy champagne, gourmet hors d'oeuvres, fancy jewelry pieces and museum-quality gemstones, in a closed party. 

Percentage of the event proceeds will be donated to the MAS Foundation, a non-profit organization established by Jeanie and Dr. Rafael Mas in memory of daughter Nicole, a fourth-generation doctor who spent her life helping people in need and passed away in late 2011 at the age of 27 due to a blood disorder. From scripts her parents found after her sudden death, they learned about her dream to establish a foundation dedicated to help others and the name she gave it: MAS, after her last name and standing for: Medicina, Amor y Servicio (Medicine, Love and Service). They started the foundation, which lives on with her goals and ideals, providing education and programs to orphaned children, medical aid and financial assistance to children and families in need.
