Cornerstone OnDemand, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSOD) today announced results for its quarter ended September 30, 2012.
Revenue for the third quarter of 2012 was $30.8 million, representing a 54% increase compared to the same period in 2011. Revenue for the first nine months of 2012 was $81.5 million, an increase of 53% compared to gross revenue for the same period in 2011.
Gross profit for the third quarter of 2012 was $21.6 million, representing a 48% year-over-year increase compared to the same period in 2011. Gross profit for the first nine months of 2012 was $57.6 million, an increase of 51% compared to the same period in 2011, based on gross revenue.
Bookings, which Cornerstone defines as gross revenue plus the change in deferred revenue for the period, were $42.7 million for the third quarter of 2012, representing a 78% increase compared to the same period in 2011.
1 Bookings for the first nine months of 2012 were $98.2 million, representing a 66% increase compared to the same period in 2011.
1 Deferred revenue at September 30, 2012 was $72.6 million, which was 82% higher than the balance at September 30, 2011, and 20% higher than the balance at June 30, 2012.
Cornerstone ended the quarter with over 1,100 clients and approximately 10.3 million users, representing 57% and 44% year-over-year growth of Cornerstone’s client base and users, respectively.
