"Since 1945, U-Haul has relied heavily on hiring veterans to work for the U-Haul organization and our success as an organization is due to veterans being successful leaders and executives. Today, we continue to support our military personnel by providing veterans with a high priority in our recruiting process. U-Haul simply wants to give back to the veterans who have sacrificed so much for our freedom, and providing them with career opportunities is just one way for us to show our support." U-Haul also is a sponsor of the Thank You for Serving video project headed by the United War Veterans Council. The project involves creating a video along with message boards displaying words of support, love and encouragement to be sent to every military base in the world. During the parade, U-Haul encourages participants and spectators to take the time to sign the Phoenix Thank You for Serving board and send messages of encouragement to those serving overseas. All of these messages will be sent to our troops, to let each of them know how much we appreciate their sacrifices on Veterans Day and every other day.
