ATLANTA , Nov. 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Aaron's, Inc. (NYSE: AAN), a lease-to-own retailer specializing in the sales and lease ownership of residential furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, provided the home furnishings for a house that was presented to single mom Cleo Williams and her six children as part of The Warrick Dunn Charities Homes for the Holidays program.

Homes for the Holidays aids single parents in need by providing the materials necessary for long-term stability and the provisions required to ensure that both parent and children can thrive educationally, socially and economically. Throughout the years the program has assisted 118 single parents and 317 dependents in Atlanta, Baltimore, Baton Rouge, Dallas, Tallahassee and Tampa. Aaron's has been a longtime supporter of Warrick Dunn Charities initiatives and began contributing the furnishings for the Homes for the Holidays program in 2003.

"It's so beautiful. The house, the furniture, it's the total package. The kids are thrilled with their rooms, and we're all just so thankful to everyone involved for this wonderful surprise," said Cleo Williams, recipient of the Warrick Dunn Charities home with furnishings donated by Aaron's.

The contributions by Aaron's were made on behalf of ACORP, the Aaron's Community Outreach Program, which supports neighborhoods and communities across the country in which Aaron's stores are located. Among the list of donated items were full living and dining room sets and bedroom furniture for each of the bedrooms.

Brock Roberts, Aaron's Vice President of North Eastern Operations, said, "Through the ACORP program, it is vital for Aaron's to acknowledge the communities who support us and, in turn, support them through initiatives like the Homes for the Holidays program, which was able to make this Thanksgiving a very special holiday for the Williams family. Aaron's strongly believes in giving back to our customers, especially during difficult economic times. In the midst of all the fallout from Sandy, it's uplifting to be a part of the process that is changing at least one east coast family's life for the better."

About ACORP and Aaron's, Inc. In 1999, the founder of Aaron's, Inc., Charlie Loudermilk, challenged the Aaron's executive team to create a program that would embody the Company's core philosophy of making dreams come true throughout the cities where Aaron's stores operate.  Aaron's executives answered the call by creating ACORP, Aaron's Community Outreach Program.  This multi-faceted giving program exemplifies what the Company is all about – giving back to the customers and communities it proudly serves.  Since the birth of ACORP, Aaron's associates have donated thousands of hours of time to community service projects in Aaron's communities across the U.S. and more than $10 million in goods and services donations.
